‘Passerine Dream’ among radio favourites of 2021

KC musicians and bands have put out so much music this year, this week on the show we'll play songs from some of our favorite singles, EPs, and LPs of 2021. We could never fit them all in an hour, but we'll shoot for a dozen or so.

Dave here again: Last week, Mark Manning of the Wednesday Midday Medley radio show on 90.1 FM KKFI Community Radio in Kansas City selected a Passerine Dream song among his favourites of 2021. Mark selected “Hometown” as No. 74 on the list of Top 120 of 2021 countdown.

Thank you, Mark, and for all who support local music and local radio. For those who don’t know Mark or have not heard his program on Wednesdays, he is one of the hardest-working radio personalities anywhere, and he does everything from the heart. He also works hard teaching school children how to grow gardens (and reap what they sow) as part of the Organic Teaching Gardens program.

I did an interview with Mark back in May when my album was released. Talking about my album and my song “Hometown,” and honouring my late father in that interview, remains very special to me and I thank Mark for including me on his show. Here’s to many more.
